2016 Christmas Letter
2016 Christmas Letter
We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
To all our customers, colleagues and friends:
We reach out every year at this time to let you know just how much we appreciate you as we have now been serving the greater Sussex County NJ and surrounding areas for 61 years with our Septic and Contracting businesses and 8 years with our Coal and Stove business! We love our customers and enjoy working with you and for you!
We celebrate Christmas each year as a record of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior to the world. Recently, my family and I mourned the loss of my father, William H. Wilson, who founded our family businesses. A large number of friends, customers, and former employees have shown us great kindnesses over the past few weeks and many attended his memorial service, where we celebrated his life. Some of you have had the blessed opportunity to know him personally; each one of you has, in some way, felt my father’s touch in your life throughout our companies and the services we provide. If you were never blessed with meeting my father, or if you were unable to attend the service and would have liked to have been there, we have posted audio of the memorial service on our websites: www.wilsonseptic.com and www.wilsoncoal.com.
My father was not only a great father and but also a good man; however, like each and every one of us, he had his shortcomings. The amazing thing about God is that He loves us in spite of our shortcomings and failures. William (Bill) was not only my dad, but also my business partner for 35 years. This Christmas season, I have spent much time reflecting on my life and the many things my father taught me. Most importantly of all, he taught my siblings and I to know and follow Christ, to know God loves us and to share His love and the gift of salvation he offers each one of us.
If you attended the memorial service or if you listen to the audio file mentioned above, my son Eric shared my father’s heart’s desire with those in attendance: “I proclaim to everyone here today that there is salvation and forgiveness freely offered to you by Jesus Christ. I implore you to pray to Jesus, ask his forgiveness of your sins, ask his help in turning from them, and ask him for salvation. To everyone here today that professes faith in Christ; I implore you to forgive, just as Christ has forgiven you. Forgiveness must start with an introspection of our own heart.”
It is my hope that all receiving this letter will have a blessed Christmas season filled with family, love, and good cheer; but I know for many, including my family and me, this season we are reminded of our loved ones who are no longer here with us. I know my father had salvation through Jesus Christ and today is alive in heaven with Jesus. I pray that each and every one of our ten thousand plus customers, colleagues and friends receiving this Christmas greeting will take to heart the message it brings. Whether this season represents a time of joy, or a time of sadness and remembrance, I pray you already have or will place your life, your faith and your trust in Jesus Christ. He loves you, and He freely offers each and every one of us the gift of Salvation. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Mathew 11:28-30
